Barry Anderson | POLYCHROME RIFT

Bruno David presents POLYCHROME RIFT, an exhibition by Kansas City-based artist Barry Anderson. This is the artist’s fourth solo exhibition with the gallery. In concurrence with the exhibition, Bruno David Gallery will publish a catalogue of the artist’s work with an in-depth exhibition history and bibliography.

 

The Fragment series is created by utilizing AI-generated imagery in conjunction with modeled environments created in 3D software, the works in this series are reflections on architecture, perceptions of space, and claustrophobia.

 

Barry Anderson lives and works in Kansas City, working in video, photography, and installation. He received his MFA from Henry Radford Hope School of Fine Arts, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, and a BFA from University of Texas, Austin, TX. His work has been featured in over 30 solo exhibitions and over 80 group exhibitions around the US and abroad. His work is also included in numerous public and private collections around the country. In 2009, his video animations were featured in a city-wide public art retrospective and accompanying monograph organized and produced by Light Work in Syracuse, New York. His current focus is on an ambitious, multi-faceted narrative called The Janus Restraint.
