Quinn Antonio Briceño is a painter who explores his dual identity and his journey of self-discovery. He identifies as both Nicaraguan and American, and he wants his art to show the fusion of these two cultures and create a space where he and others like him can feel at home.

Blending Americana with Latinx, he mixes elements from both cultures in his work, honoring the working class and expressing his desire to be accepted by both societies that he feels alienated from.

He uses collage techniques to combine found images related to his life in the United States with painted images of Nicaragua, his work transforms the discarded materials and the personal stories and histories of his family into a new landscape: one that celebrates his identity and how he became who he is today.

Quinn Antonio Briceño is a Nicaraguan-American artist residing in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated with a bachelors in fine art in 2017 from the San Francisco Art Institute, and a masters in fine art in 2022 at the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Art. He won the Ann Metzger National Biennial in 2019, was a finalist for the AXA Art Prize in 2021.
